Steve Benson’s Washington metropolitan area recitals include those at the Kennedy Center, the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Christ Church Episcopal in Old Town Alexandria, Church of the Epiphany, and Georgetown Presbyterian Church.  His appearances in Europe include performances at St. Marienkirche and Lindenkirche (Berlin), Donaueschingen, Ebermunster, Freiburg im Breisgau (Johanniskirche), Vaduz, the Vienna Universitaetskirche, the Stadtpfarrkirche in Winhoering, the Tyn Church in Prague and the Mattaiskirche in Wiesbaden.

Steve's recital literature ranges from the 16th to the 20th century, and includes works from the miniature to large form.  He has accompanied vocalists, instrumentalists and choruses in literature from all periods.  As a continuo artist, he has accompanied or conducted from the keyboard numerous performances of  "Messiah" and many other choral masterworks.  Recital programming is designed according to the particular venue, instrument and acoustic environment.
